A wine tasting of wines and cavas of El Penedès directed by a wine expert, accompanied by artisanal products of the area (coca enramada – a typical savoury Catalan cake-, ecological breads, cold meats and cheeses). This activity for wine and food lovers allows you to get to know the characteristics of wines and cavas, the autochthonous and traditional grape varieties and the elements of the most common gastronomy while favouring group connections and the inclination to share hobbies.

The activity starts with a walk around the farm, where the participants learn to distinguish some of the most common medicinal plants and pick some to later make their liquor. Once the walk is finished, after getting to know the dry-stone art – with walls and huts-, the participants get to Mas Llagostera’s Hay Loft where they prepare the liquor they will take home. They can also prepare small aromatic bags to put in wardrobes. This activity brings groups together, favours creativity and is very relaxing, as it is done in direct contact with nature.

In a unique natural environment, among vineyards, your group can prepare a calçotada (typical Catalan meal with green onions roasted over vine shoots served with a romesco sauce). In the old Hay Loft, the group members can enjoy a welcoming glass of cava and have the table prepared for a group meal. The preparation of the calçotada favours the collaboration between group members and fosters creativity and group organization.

The group members are divided into teams and, with the ingredients prepared for them, they make a paella under Pere’s supervision and advice (the house’s chef). This activity fosters group work, competitivity and empathy among group members. The activity ends with the eating of the paellas among the vineyards accompanied by wines and cavas of El Penedès.
